Apple’s iPod Touch in the Philippines

Posted on the October 9th, 2007 under Gadgets, Mobile by Ryman

The new Apple’s iPod Touch is generally similar to the iPhone, just without the phone. It has the same touchscreen technology as the iPod, and you can play music, videos, and view images from the unit itself. You can browse the net using Apple’s native Safari browser, although relatively slow because of the limitations of the browser. Purchasing music can be done at an iTunes Wi-Fi music store or in your local Starbucks (only in the U.S. I think), so just fill it up with your huge collection of downloaded music.

It has a storage capacity of 8GB or 16GB using flash drive. A 3.5-inch widescreen display at 480×320 px resolution. Audio formats that are supported: AAC, pAAC, MP3, MP3 VBR, Audible, Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV. Video formats that are supported: M4V, MP4, and MOV. You will probably need a video converter to import your other video formats to iPhone Touch compatible. It also supports Wi-Fi for those on the go. Prices starts at 16,000 pesos for the 8GB model, and 21,000 pesos for the 16GB.
