YouTube online video downloader

A lot of people are asking me this lately, on what type of software or tool I use to download videos from YouTube. Of course, I tried many software that can download YouTube flash videos, but not one of them I really recommend to other people. If you search Google for keywords like “YouTube video download” you can get a lot of sites that are good starting point to download the embeded flash video.

But for this post, I recommend Downloader9.com to download the videos from YouTube. The site is as simple as it gets, just copy/paste the YouTube link, and hit the button to get to the download prompt. Just rename your file with an extension of .FLV and there you have it.

Of course, you can download the videos without using any website tool or software, just by loading the video in your browser, then going to your browser cache and copy the video file there. If you are using Firefox, just type this in the address bar, about:cache and open the folder where the caches are stored.
