In Japan, high school girls are the biggest users of mobile phone Internet

This is just another excuse to post kawaii Japanese high school girls.
High school girls are the biggest users of mobile phone Internet and text services, accessing them for an average of two hours and four minutes a day, according to a Cabinet Office survey. The Daily Yomiuri Online reports.
“High school boys were next, going online on their cell phone for an average of one hour 32 minutes a day.
Middle school girls accessed services for an average of one hour 19 minutes, and middle school boys for one hour 11 minutes, the survey on youngsters and the information society found.
Seriously. In Japan the biggest users going online with their cell phone are high school girls, while next on the list are high school boys. I’m not sure about the trend there, but most of the scenes in J-doramas (read: Japanese TV series) I watch usually has a high school boy opening his clamshell mobile phone and asking for a girl’s email address. I mean, he can just ask for her mobile phone number right? There are always a part in an episode that shows a boy and a girl exchanging email adds, and they are both using their mobile phones.
