Because of the high inflation at Zimbabwe, the country’s central bank has issued a new 10 million Zimbabwe dollar note.
The new 10 million note is the equivalent of about £2 at the dominant black market exchange rate. A hamburger at an ordinary cafe costs about 15 million Zimbabwe dollars (£3).
That hamburger has trebled in price this month amid shortages of bread, meat and most basic goods.
Zimbabwe faces the world’s highest official inflation of an estimated 25,000 per cent. Independent financial institutions say real inflation is closer to 150,000 per cent.

It is a cheeseburger in a can. Katadyn is a Swiss-based company that primarily focuses its efforts on mobile water sterilization and desalination equipment. But recently the company has started making food products for adventuring/camping/military applications. The canned product lasts for 12 months and requires no refrigeration.
My nephew asked me to promote this music video, he and his friends made. It’s a song by Toto titled, I’ll Be Over You. The video is beautifully choreographed and edited, with exact lip-sync to the tune. They created this video for their school.

WASHINGTON — A large U.S. spy satellite has lost power and could hit the Earth in late February or early March, government officials said Saturday.
The satellite, which no longer can be controlled, could contain hazardous materials, and it is unknown where on the planet it might come down, they said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the information is classified as secret. It was not clear how long ago the satellite lost power, or under what circumstances.
The spacecraft contains hydrazine _ which is rocket fuel _ according to a government official who was not authorized to speak publicly but spoke on condition of anonymity. Hydrazine, a colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor, is a toxic chemical and can cause harm to anyone who contacts it.
Such an uncontrolled re-entry could risk exposure of U.S. secrets, said John Pike, a defense and intelligence expert. Spy satellites typically are disposed of through a controlled re-entry into the ocean so that no one else can access the spacecraft, he said.
Pike also said it’s not likely the threat from the satellite could be eliminated by shooting it down with a missile, because that would create debris that would then re-enter the atmosphere and burn up or hit the ground.
So it’s safe to say it could crash anywhere from your backyard or your neighbors house. But the cool thing is that, it is loaded with radiation that is already bombarded with cosmic gamma rays from space. And if you are still alive after coming in contact with the crash site, chances are you acquired some random ability and consider yourself a mutant. That’s instant celebrity for you, and you may appear on YouTube or some popular blog site.
