Upcoming movies to wait and watch
Aside from two spoof movies (Superhero Movie, Meet The Spartans) this year, another one is trying to squeeze in before the year ends. And in time for the holiday season is An American Carol.
Kelsey Grammer will reprise the role of Ebenezer Scrooge for the indie satire “An American Carol,” directed by “Scary Movie 4″ helmer David Zucker. Grammer, who previously played Dickens’ stingy protag in the NBC-Hallmark production of “A Christmas Carol” in 2004, will play a modern-day Ebenezer in new film, which lampoons contemporary American culture, particularly Hollywood. Zucker penned the screenplay along with Myrna Sokoloff.

Regarding the Dark Knight movie, there are some speculation that Deathstroke will make a cameo appearance. Although this is still a rumor and haven’t been confirmed yet. Deathstroke is a villain in DC universe and thus appears to be Batman’s enemy, if the rumors are true.

On the other side of the universe (Marvel universe to be precise), reports are coming in that there are new movie stills and a new trailer of Iron Man, while the new trailer for the Incredible Hulk will be out by March. Another hero from the pages of Marvel to come out is Ant Man.
Finally after years of being in development Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz) has finished up the script for AntMan. While talking to Empire Magazine about Grindhouse double bill he revealed some little tidbits about what he has planned to do next: “It could be that. I finished the script and I’m having a meeting about it next week,” he said. “But it depends which comes first in the queue basically. I’ve been working on two at once, and I’m also about to start developing two more scripts, one of which is with Simon [Pegg]. It could be Scott Pilgrim (another comic book adaptation who must slay a girl’s evil exes in order to date her) is next or it could be Ant Man, we shall see.”

Remember watching the anime Ninja Scroll when you were a kid? If not, never mind. Anyway movie blogs are saying that the upcoming movie by the Wachowski’ brothers, featuring Korean popstar Rain, titled Ninja Assasin is a live remake of the popular anime.
Oddly enough, the names of the characters in the cast list seem to coincide with the names of the characters from Yoshiaki Kawajiri’s 1993 anime film Ninja Scroll! Is Ninja Assassin actually a live action remake of Ninja Scroll? It seems like a distinct possibility, given that the Wachowskis have often referred to this movie as one of their inspirations for The Matrix, and we can assume this would probably be a dream project of theirs.
