Site News: Addional Plugins
Just a quick post. I’ve added two (actually 3) additional plugins for the site.
- On the right side of the sidebar, there is now an Authors list. It shows how many posts, and active authors are on this site. Clicking their name will direct you to a page where you can see all their posts.
- The Popular Posts on the left side of the sidebar, shows the most popular posts. It uses an internal calculation on each posts based on their trackbacks, comments, page views, and more. I’ve only listed the top 5, but I may expand it to top 10 after I’ve rearrange some of the widgets on the sidebar. NOTE: If you are wondering why the new posts appear on the top list, it is because of the page views. Every time the front page loads, it counts all on the ten posts shown.
- Another plugin I’ve added is the Widgetize Anything plugin. It works internally to supplement the Popular Posts plugin. Since I don’t want to hard code the php code, I just use this to quickly post codes directly on the widget. This works like the text widget in Wordpress, but this one accepts php code.
