Fix the media uploader when using IE7 on the latest WordPress 2.5
There is a reported bug on the new WordPress media uploader wherein if a user is using Internet Explorer 7 the flash based interface doesn’t load.

In Internet Explorer 7 (IE7), when opening the “Add Media” Uploader dialog, the uploader using Flash technology was absent or not showing, and instead be replaced with the standard “Browse File” input box with script errors, as described in WordPress Trac.
The reason of the issue is due to two script errors that do not compatible with IE browser. Developers of WordPress have came out with solution to fix and patch the issue, which will be updated in WordPress 2.5.1. In the meanwhile, before version 2.5.1 is released, for those who wants to use IE7 to use the new Flash Media Uploader can download the changeset_r7573.zip which contains the following 2 files:
wp-admin/includes/media.php
wp-includes/js/swfupload/handlers.js
As an alternative you can just disable the media uploader and revert to the old one via a plugin. Or just use Firefox and wait for WordPress 2.5.1.

It seems I’m right not to upgrade this blog yet to WordPress 2.5 since I know a lot of bugs may eventually pop-out. On the other side, I’ve upgraded my personal blog to test out bugs and possible plugins break. If everything is ok, then I’ll upgrade this site too. And besides I don’t even use IE.
