Posted on the July 12th, 2008 under News by Ryman

Three new additional words added to Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

This time out in the tech category, the dictionary added the aforementioned nickname for brand obsessives, along with malware, pretexting, netroots, and webinar.

The full list of new words is about 100 strong–only a small slice of which is tech. Other favorites include “mondegreen” (a misheard lyric or phrase), “prosecco” (a kind of Italian wine), and “air quotes” (come on, you “know” what air quotes “means”).
