Download the new Google Chrome browser

Just when you thought that the browser wars are a four way fight, now comes a fifth challenger. Google Chrome, a new open sourced browser from Google. It is said to be a “lightweight and quick” browser for the net.

I got a chance to try it as soon as I logged in at the office. And so far, the installation was smooth and the browsing performance is quite good. Although I’m not sure if it is faster than Firefox. It’s home tab is similar to Opera’s thumbnail bookmarks which shows a couple of websites that are mostly viewed.

I suggest to get it now and try it for yourself. Download Google Chrome browser.

Update: The tabs are running on a separate process, so that means when a page hangs/freezes, the other tabs are not affected. Also if you click-drag a tab outside the browser, it will separate from the main browser.

i’ve tried the chrome and it was good, better than IE but i don’t think its faster than FF.

i love chrome. it starts up faster for me, and the interface is so clean.
