ooh boy, you have done your research. i don’t know dude, you can’t blame the people for reacting that way. for them, the comment was very rude and inappropriate. it was done at the wrong place and at the wrong time. this should serve as a lesson to everyone–learn when to talk and when to keep your opinions to yourself. think, and think well before speaking.

I wasn’t able to feel full fury when this case came out yesterday. I just saw all of this today. So coming from a sober point of view, all i can say is: Anyone in his/her right frame of mind would have posted something to anyone, anywhere in the internet to disclaim and prove his/her innocence. Anyone with PR experience would have done something INSTANTANEOUSLY.
Its sooooo weird it took her time and through other people at that, to defend herself with the “hack” excuse. I did my part and helped the needy before I even saw this ‘case’…and coming home to see all of this, all I can see is one person’s slip of the tongue gone wrong. The defense came in so late, so strangely belated and definitely so phony. How can an ‘educated’ person let a hacked account proliferate for a year? How can anyone claim they are not internet savvy to know what hacking is and yet be in Public Relations?? How can anyone just let herself be ruined and then claim innocence so belatedly through other people? My resentment and doubt about her defense is late but after volunteering in Pasig and seeing the helpless, you cannot blame me for how I feel after probing all angles.

How did you get all of that information?

Her facebook account was already deleted… Question is who deleted it… is it her or the hacker (or maybe facebook)?

If I was the hacker (with the intention of destroying her reputation), i would not allow her to re-log in in the account and delete it.

And judging from the situation i wouldn’t think that anyone could be that diabolical enough that they would start an internet phenomenon just by coming up with that post/comment…

It’s not like, “hey, i hate Jacque Bermejo, i really hate her, i’m going to hack her facebook account and then i’m going to post hurtful comments on facebook and then i’m going to start an internet phenomenon and the whole philippines will hate her.” that seems very unlikely…

The culprit already did try to discredit her, first by hacking her now defunct FRIENDSTER account and posting pornographic materials on it. Then, using the photos taken from the friendster account, the culprit opened a fake multiply account where he/she posted the pictures with nasty comments about jacque’s co-workers among others. Did anybody notice then? Did anybody really give a shit? Hell no! Because it had nothing to do with us then. But here comes ondoy, a perfect opportunity for the culprit to stage his/her attack. Post a really insensitive and stupid comment on a Filipino fan group, using a fake Jacque facebook account and bam! Instant character assasination. Now the whole Philippine population is up in arms agains her, and this may even kill her career. I don’t have anything to do with Jacque Bermejo, hell I’ve never even heard of her before all this brouhaha. But I did read most of the stuff written about her and just looked at this logically. This thing about trolls going after her is not too far fetched. That’s all.

About two years ago, an anonymous source created these accounts using my identity, posting my personal details, my real pictures captioned roughly and attacking other people. Because of these incidents, I reported such abuses and sent my credentials to the administrators of such sites, particularly Facebook. I have been abused and am still being abused online in social networking websites such as Facebook, Friendster, Multiply etc.

In the early stages, I was advised by close friends to ignore the situation, saying this would simply go away. Unfortunately, it has not stopped. Hence, I filed a complaint with the Dubai Police about eight months ago hoping they could help me with my problem. Should anyone wish to check my statement, my case is still under investigation with said authorities.

Time passed and these sites continued to generate malicious, obscene and cruel messages that are widely exposed and relayed to the public under my name.

Yesterday, September 27th 2009, I received phone calls from my close friends regarding very alarming posts in the above mentioned websites that directly offended flood victims as a result of typhoon Ondoy..

These malicious statement(s) which are posted under account names Jacque or Jackie are not of my doing. It is unfortunate that such statements were maliciously attributed to me and I do sympathize and understand the adverse and somehow verbally violent reaction that has been elicited by such insensitive statements or posts. Rest assured, I have taken every legal step that can be done in this regard.

I too, have become a victim as much as those who may have lost their lives and properties to such a devastating natural calamity. This recent controversy has greatly affected my reputation, my family, and my friends. I am devastated and shocked at the extent my character, my personal information and private space have been violated.

I have a deep respect and regard for my country. I am proud to be a Filipino and would never say or do anything to harm the interest of my country or countrymen. I have also had the privilege of participating in civic-oriented activities in Dubai, particularly in trying to help my fellow countrymen seek employment during the height of mass layoffs brought about by the ongoing global financial crisis, as well as those seeking employment for the first time. Making a mockery of any unfortunate incidents befalling any of my fellow Filipinos is simply contrary to my character. I condemn the person or persons behind these malicious acts to impute damage on my integrity and I hope that you can dig deep into your hearts and minds to truly find the truth in all these.

Now I see more uneducated pinoys making irrelevant posts here.Yeah defend yourselves and say don’t be judgmental but you are what you say and do.

If you’d been using the internet for a while, you should know by now that it is easy to impersonate anyone you know or not know. There is even a website out there where you can view people’s private profile in friendster among other things. And some put too much faith in IP addresses which can also be spoofed or proxy’d through a lot of servers. People have been doing that for years. Heck you can just go to a wifi at a mall and do this. (The IP is not yours) In the case of Jacque, it is quite obvious that the “multiply” account was fake since it was self degrading since Jan of this year.

I can understand the anger of some but I am most amazed by how people jump into conclusions with out facts shouting “crucify” all over again.

You have to be a brilliant social engineer to orchestrate this whole thing… you know, hack someone’s account or create dummy account’s etc. and post some comments and then let it loose on the internet and create and internet phenomenon…

amazingly, I really find it hard to believe that it was a hacked/dummy account because:

1. There was only 1 comment. I would have made several comments if i was the hacker bent on destroying her

2. The timing, it was done on such a time where people’s emotion where running high. Honestly, If was the hacker, I would pick other important event too like Tita Cory’s Funeral.

3. She had a friendster account that was hacked? …by that time, she should have been careful with her Facebook account. You wouldn’t allow being victimized twice right… And she has multiply account too (probably other social site too), so i think she knows her way through social sites and one thing that you need to make sure when you have this type of accounts is that you secure them, you log-in and log-out.

4. Now that it’s getting out of hand and spreading like wild fire, why would i delete the account.

These sort of things are not new in the internet, It happen before to a girl in china named Zhang Ya.

Guys, I hope you were able to closely look at the “supposed” facebook comment personally… because if you did, you would find that Jacqueline could not have posted the comment given the elapsed time shown… just to explain, her supposed original comment made had an elapsed time of 16 minutes while the comment following hers showed 19 minutes… its impossible for anyone to answer a comment that will happen 3 minutes before… By just this clear “oversight” by the anonymous source/hacker show that Jacqueline is indeed innocent.

I dont think she was the one who sent that message. If you notice her statement, it was well said that she can speak English fluently and verbally. Her position in her workplace is very respectable and she works in another country. I would not think that she would be able to write a one-liner that is very uneducated.

Hacking could be so easy. If you’re able to hack a person once, you’re able to hack him again. That what happened to Jacque simply because she has not changed her E-mail and password for her new networking website. That is why the bandit hunts her. If I were her, she must close all her accounts or change her name to something else so only her friends and family can add her. If ever her name comes out again, you would know it is not her.

In addition, they did say that she only knows a little about networking sites maybe for personal use to stay in touch with friends and family and probably she just uses one e-mail all the time. The Facebook account of Jacque wasn’t hacked!

It’s just that someone who really hate her created a FAKE account in all the familiar social networking forums such as Multiply, Friendster and Facebook.

Madali lang gumawa ng fake account. Madali lang din mag-download and upload pictures sa internet. Kahit kayo, kaya nyo gawin yan. Kahit kayo, marami din kayong accounts. Aminin…..

Meron talagang mga taong dahil sa inggit o matinding galit ay kayang gawin lahat na makakasira sa isang tao.

Para mabigyang linaw, the IP ADDRESS of the user should be investigated. Pwede naman ma-trace yong IP Address dun sa gumagamit ng account niya. And with these, dyan natin malalaman kung na-hacked ba talaga or siya mismo ang gumawa dun.

Kaya yong mga taong naghuhusga nya kaagad, mag-iisip din kayo. Sa part naman talaga nung mga tunay na victims ng bagyong Ondoy, hindi naman din kayo masisisi. Kaya being fair to everyone, don’t give a damn judgement unless meron na talagang official judgement.

hahaha! nakakatawa kayo! kaya lalo kayong nakakarma sa mga ginagawa nyo dahil masyado kayong mapang-husga ng tao. iisang tao pinagtutulungan nyo eh wala naman kayong sapat na batayan para sa mga paratang nyo. masyado kayong nagmamagaling pero kung tutuuusin, sinyales ng kabobohan ang mga ginagawa nyo lol! dapat kayo ang nalunod sa baha, dahil kayo ang mas makasalanan hindi yung mga namatay. hindi pa nakakabangon ang bansa heto na naman kayo at gumagawa ng kasalanan. hanggang internet lang naman tapang nyo. pwe!
