One of the largest website in the world, Friendster, is now expanding its coverage through the mobile community. It recently launched the mobile version of its site which can be accessed using mobile devices.

By typing a person’s name on search engines like Google or Yahoo! you can instantly find them if their presence is on a website, or even their names is mentioned on a site. But if you want to locate their profile, you have to do a search on social network sites like Facebook, MySpace, Friendster, etc. Using a web service called Wink, you can instantly search all of the popular social sites in one go.

Wink lets you input a name, a location, and even other info on its search bars. It then crawls various social sites and look for keywords related to the one you entered. It is a quick way to find someone, provided that they have a profile somewhere on the net.

YouTube Adds Live Video

It’s official: YouTube will add live video before this year ends. Steve Chen, co-founder of the popular video streaming website, told videoblogger Sarah Meyers that it won’t be too long before the likes of her and Justin broadcast their lives LIVE, as in real time.

“Live video is just something that we’ve always wanted to do, we’ve never had the resources to do it correctly, but now with Google, we hope to actually do it this year,” furthered Steve Chen.
