TechieBubble.com is a blog that contains mostly computer tips and tricks. Anything from software to hardware, from your local computer up to the Internet.
This is just a short post to introduce my new blog site. It only has a few posts as of now, but will eventually gain more. Suggestions and comments are welcome, just post a comment on this entry.
I’ve been tinkering around with this new application by ESET called SysInspector. And while it is still in testing phase, it does a through scan of your system. This is another must haves for security-conscious computer users at home or at the office.
ESET SysInspector is a free, state of the art diagnostic tool for Windows NT based systems. It peers into your operating system and captures details such as running processes, registry content, startup items and network connections. Once a snapshot of the system is made, ESET SysInspector applies heuristics to assign a risk level for each object logged. Its intuitive graphical user interface enables the user to easily slice through the large volume of data using a slider to select objects of a particular color coded risk level for closer examination. ESET SysInspector is a convenient utility for the tool box of every IT expert and first responder.
It captures every running process, registry, startup items, and much more. It also provides details and threat level of certain apps. It is also portable and you can run it in your USB drive. Another thing I like about the program is you can move the slider to just show the threat level of certain items, filtering it from 1 to 9.

Google Chrome
Just when you thought that the browser wars are a four way fight, now comes a fifth challenger. Google Chrome, a new open sourced browser from Google. It is said to be a “lightweight and quick” browser for the net.
I got a chance to try it as soon as I logged in at the office. And so far, the installation was smooth and the browsing performance is quite good. Although I’m not sure if it is faster than Firefox. It’s home tab is similar to Opera’s thumbnail bookmarks which shows a couple of websites that are mostly viewed.
Update: The tabs are running on a separate process, so that means when a page hangs/freezes, the other tabs are not affected. Also if you click-drag a tab outside the browser, it will separate from the main browser.
